Hichiriki for Sale

Traditional Japanese Plastic Hichiriki, Includes One Reed

Product #: P0001
Price: ¥7,260
The hichiriki is often called a "flute" by newcomers, but technically, it is a double-reed instrument (more like a pocket-sized Japanese oboe).

The Root Pitch: In traditional Japanese Gagaku music, a standard hichiriki has a fundamental pitch centered around F4 (the F above middle C).

The Pitch Range: It typically covers roughly one octave.

Reed for Hichiriki

Product #: P0020
Price: ¥2,420

A MINIMUM ORDER REQUIRES +2,500 JPY

How to use: Soak this into warm green tea. After the reed is open, ready for playing.

Reeds are made of natural material which is very fragile. Some people seem to break them after soaking in warm tea, but this is not a defect unless there is sound leakage. Please be careful.

Comes wih a cap (see image)  Price for qty.1
